Alright, so here’s the deal. My lovely friend Q revealed – after a lot of wine and a roast duck dinner – that she used to make all her own clothes. Before she knew it, she had a date in her diary to come over and be my dressmaking tutor, and that date is THIS SUNDAY! I’m rather excited… although Q thinks we’re making something nice and easy and un-booby like a skirt. Ha! As if I’d let a pro get away without having a go at a dress with me. I’ll make another roast as payment, then she won’t complain.
Here’s what I have in mind:
It’s from the Vogue Very East range (V8784), and it’s the the straight down one on the right I rather fancy… although perhaps the other one may be more suited to luscious curves? Opinions welcome. Wonder if we can make a wrap-around that doesn’t need a vest underneath? I used to be able to pull off that style when I was 18… but a lot of cake has passed down the cake-hole since then and I’m not quite the same shape as I was (see right).
